Network Name & Password Entry: Your wireless name AND password are case sensitive. You MUST match the EXACT name of your SSID or it will NOT work correctly.
Editing the File: Do NOT use a simple text editor like Notepad. Use one that supports the formatting of the file like Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code If you use a built-in text editor (like notepad) it will not work.
NOTE: When removing the SD card be careful as they are delicate devices. Warranty does not cover if you crack the SD card when removing from the EZPi case.
With the V4.0 and higher Pi image and kits from TH3D the wifi.nmconnection file is used to make changes to the wifi setup now. Pop the SD card into your computer and open the "wifi.nmconnection" file in Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code. In this example we are using Visual Studio Code.
You will need to uncomment lines 2 through 24 and edit lines 10 and 15 with your wireless name and password. In the below example our Wifi name is "MyWifiNetwork" and the password is "P4ssword". Replace MyWifiNetwork with your actual wifi network name EXACTLY how it is spelled/spaced/capitalized/etc and replace P4ssword with your actual wifi password EXACTLY how it is spelled/capitalized/etc
Save the file by pressing CTRL + S on your keyboard or by clicking File > Save. Safely eject the SD card from your computer and put it back in the EZPi kit. Once it boots it will connect to your wifi network.
If you messed up your wifi.nmconnection file or want to start over you can download a fresh copy below. Copy the downloaded file onto your EZPi SD card, overwriting the old one and then edit the new file with your information using the information in the video below.
