LCD Not Working

To ensure your LCD functions properly, both ends of the cables—at the LCD and the control board—must be oriented the same way, with the cables exiting in the same direction. If one end is flipped, it reverses the pin configuration, which prevents the LCD from working. Please verify that both ends are correctly connected. If the cables are properly oriented but the LCD still does not light up, please proceed to the next section for further troubleshooting.

LCD Not Lighting Up

If your 12864 LCD is not lighting up, try flipping the cable connections at the LCD side. While these connectors are keyed, they can sometimes be inserted incorrectly. In such cases, you can gently force them into the socket, or if you prefer, you can trim the key off the cable plug using side cutters to allow for proper insertion. Our team typically presses the connector in during installation. While this may cause slight deformation or cracking of the socket near the key, it does not impact functionality.
